Entre sus conclusiones cabe destacar que los bajos índices de lectura guardan una estrecha relación tanto con la importancia del ocio electrónico en la vida de los adolescentes actuales como con la modificación de sus hábitos lectores. Al mismo tiempo pone de relieve que los medios de comunicación constituyen un todo desde el punto de vista temático y que lo que les gusta en el ámbito audiovisual les atrae en el de lo impreso._________________________________This article examines the relation between teenagers and printed media. The conclusions emphasize that the low indexes of reading are due to, on the one hand, the importance of electronic leisure in the today’s teenagers life and, on the other hand, the modification of reading habits. El cuestionario explora tres ámbitos de la vida de los adolescentes, (a) sus prácticas de lectura y escritura, así como las de otros adultos de su familia, (b) sus características socio-demográficas y (c) sus expectativas y trayectorias académicas. Un análisis factorial sobre los ítems de lectura-escritura arroja ocho factores, identificables como diferentes prácticas de literacidad. Un análisis de conglomerados hecho sobre los factores produce tres agrupamientos, identificados como estilos de literacidad. Los resultados apoyan de manera cuantitativa una visión multidimensional de la literacidad en los adolescentes, congruente con los planteamientos de los Nuevos Estudios sobre la Literacidad.
