challenges in maintaining the credibility of cited sources, especially when scientific papers are retracted. This paper investigates how citations to retracted research are handled on English Wikipedia. We construct a novel dataset that integrates Wikipedia revision histories with metadata from Retraction Watch, Crossref, Altmetric, and OpenAlex, identifying 1,181 citations of retracted papers. We find that 71.6% of all citations analyzed are problematic. These are citations added before a paper's retraction, as well as the citations introduced after retraction without any in-text mention of the paper's retracted status. Our analysis reveals that these citations persist for a median of over 3.68 years (1,344 days). Through survival analysis, we find that signals of human attention are associated with a faster correction process. Unfortunately, a paper's established scholarly authority, a higher academic citation count, is associated with a slower time to correction. Our findings highlight how the Wikipedia community supports collaborative maintenance but leaves gaps in citation-level repair. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative analysis of structured questions with qualitative thematic analysis of open-ended responses. The findings reveal no significant gender or age biases among educators using Wikipedia; however, there is evidence of a global digital divide, with greater adoption observed in English-speaking countries. Most instructors reported assigning students to write or improve Wikipedia articles, typically accounting for about a quarter of the final course grade. Educators frequently utilized support tools and resources developed by the Wikimedia Community. Overall, participants reported positive teaching experiences, often linked to increased student and instructor motivation, as well as the achievement of multiple learning objectives related to academic and digital literacies. Nonetheless, the assignment was noted to be time-consuming. This work analyzes 36 independent games and their Wikipedia articles focusing on their bibliographic references to understand how are they framed. After confirming that 28 of these games have Wikipedia articles, references were obtained (n = 2058) and each individual media was identified and classified based on their characteristics. Results show that articles differ in legth, with Life is Strange being the largest (120621 bytes) and the one with more references (185 references). 61,5% of the total references come from magazines and websites focusing on games, while 20,9% correspond to more general media. Data shows that most articles contain sources of dubious quality, which complicates the exploration of the educational possibilities of these games. Esta investigación se centra en estudiar su contenido en referencia a los centros educativos superiores de Portugal. También busca analizar los idiomas que mejor representan a estos centros educativos en Wikipedia y comprobar si el discurso de sus artículos ha sido creado gracias al trabajo colaborativo y libre. Para ello, se creó una clasificación con todas las instituciones superiores, se buscó en Wikidata si disponían de elemento y los idiomas de Wikipedia en los que estaban presentes. Se guardaron estos datos y se programó un bot para recoger las visitas que recibían, su tamaño, cantidad de fuentes en las que se basan, las ediciones que se han grabado en ellos y por quién han sido realizadas. Se encontraron 102 instituciones superiores, de las cuales 81 estaban presentes en Wikidata. De estas, 60 tenían artículo en Wikipedia en cualquiera de las lenguas activas de la enciclopedia, siendo la versión en portugués la de mayor número de artículos creados con 56. Las universidades de Coimbra, Lisboa y Porto se mostraron como las más importantes, demostrando que el discurso de sus artículos es fruto del trabajo colaborativo de muchos editores. El resto instituciones superiores mostraron unos datos muy diversos, en ocasiones con contenidos procedentes de cuentas con propósitos particulares, sobre todo en ciertas instituciones privadas. Por ello, se puede concluir que el contenido de los artículos de Wikipedia es muy variado, dependiendo de la importancia de las instituciones y el interés particular de los editores de la comunidad. This paper contrasts the impact of these factors individually, such as the immigrant rate and neighborhood segregation. To achieve this, a machine learning analysis was conducted on a sample of neighborhoods in the main Spanish metropolitan areas (Madrid and Barcelona), using a database created from a combination of official statistical sources and textual sources, such as Wikipedia. These texts were transformed into indexes using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and other artificial intelligence algorithms capable of interpreting images and converting them into indexes. The results indicate that the factors influencing immigrant concentration and segregation differ significantly, with crucial roles played by the urban landscape, population size, and geographic origin. While land prices showed a relationship with immigrant concentration, their effect on segregation was mediated by factors such as overcrowding, social support networks, and landscape degradation. Uno de los wikis más conocidos es la Wikipedia, enciclopedia en línea libre editada colaborativamente por usuarios de todo el mundo. En esta investigación hemos aplicado un cuestionario en línea diseñado ad hoc para constatar si los estudiantes universitarios españoles usan esta herramienta, si la conocen y si la conceden importancia de cara a sus estudios. Los resultados han sido obtenidos tras la cumplimentación de 1173 cuestionarios por parte de estudiantes universitarios de Educación en toda España. Los alumnos afirman usar mucho las redes sociales, los documentos en línea y la Wikipedia. Solo un 5,4% de los encuestados indicó que no utiliza esta herramienta. Se expusieron varios motivos para no editar en ella, pero principalmente los alumnos indicaron que no se sentían capaces de aportar ningún tipo de información.   Why Don’t University Students Edit on Wikipedia? College students admit that one of the tools they use the most in their daily lives is Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia that gives anyone the freedom to edit its content. They consider that it is reliable and useful for their queries, but above all they believe that it contains current data. In spite of these positive aspects, it is considered that less than 1% of the students frequently edit it to improve its contents. In order to determine the reasons why they do not edit it, in this research we have implemented the sequential mixed method to obtain information from three data collection tools such as questionnaires, discussion groups and interviews. Once the 1,173 responses to the questionnaires had been analyzed, we carried out a discussion group with students from the University of Barcelona and interviews with expert editors on Wikipedia, and it was found that only 0.38% edited frequently or very often. To obtain the results, three data collection instruments were applied. University students from all over Spain in Education studies completed 1,173 questionnaires. Once the answers were analyzed, a script was created to conduct a discussion group at the University of Barcelona, and the responses of this one served to create the script of the interviews that were conducted to the editors of Wikipedia. RESULTS. The data obtained allow us to affirm that students regularlyconsult Wikipedia, and consider it very useful and complete. Se debía mostrar a los alumnos el funcionamiento interno de un wiki y para ello se utilizó Wikipedia como herramienta de aprendizaje en la construcción del conocimiento. Se crearon y mejoraron artículos de diferentes temáticas con el fin de conocer si aquellas escogidas tenían influencia en su motivación, así como las dificultades encontradas durante el proceso de edición. También se formó un grupo de discusión con el fin de conocer el uso que le dan este tipo de alumnos a Wikipedia, las percepciones que tienen sobre su fiabilidad y los motivos por los que no editan en ella. El estudio se realizó durante tres años con un total de 28 alumnos, que en general no mostraron interés en la edición de Wikipedia cuando esta no se tuvo en cuenta para la nota final de la asignatura. Se trata de una enciclopedia en línea y libre, editada colaborativamente por usuarios de todo el mundo en más de 300 idiomas diferentes. Los estudiantes universitarios la consultan para realizar investigaciones y trabajos de clase, por lo que en esta investigación nos hemos cuestionado si saben utilizarla correctamente. Los resultados han sido obtenidos tras la cumplimentación de 1173 cuestionarios por parte de estudiantes universitarios de Educación en toda España. Una vez analizadas las respuestas se realizaron grupos de discusión a estudiantes universitarios y entrevistas a editores expertos de Wikipedia. Esto es debido al uso que se puede hacer de los metadatos con los que cuentan las bibliotecas. Normalmente se habla de liberar esta información que poseen, pero no sobre dónde se encuentran físicamente estas instituciones u otros datos de la propia institución, para que también puedan utilizarse por cualquier usuario. Esta información podría ser útil para realizar búsquedas de las bibliotecas más cercanas, acceder a los medios de comunicación con los que cuentan o consultar los identificadores que tienen en otras bases de datos. El objetivo de este artículo es el de mostrar el procedimiento utilizado para inserción de todas las bibliotecas de España en una base de datos libre, con la intención de que sean accesibles por todo el mundo. Utilizando diversas herramientas libres se limpiaron los datos y se insertaron 7861 bibliotecas nuevas en Wikidata, para después corregir duplicaciones existentes e insertar nuevos campos. "abstractNote": "lthough the term gamification may sound a little old-fashioned (Fuchs, Fizek & Ruffino, 2014), the use of game elements in non-game contexts has become familiar to us in recent years. Situations in which we are asked to set a happy (or sad) face as a rating for the cleaning service in a public toilet, or in which teachers award points and badges to their students through apps such as ClassDojo, remind us that we live in what Raessens (2006) defined as a ludification of culture. Even in this current edition of the ECGBL programme, 17 works include in their title one of the terms gamification, gamified or gamifying. Several authors have sought to identify the origin of the concept but without reaching a clear consensus. While Werbach and Hunter (2012) mention that the “first use in its current sense occurred in 2003, when Nick Pelling, a British game developer, established a short-lived consultancy company to create game-like interfaces for electronic devices”(p. 24), Deterding, Dixon, Khaled and Nacke (2011) explain that “the first documented use of the term gamification dates back from 2008\"(p. 1). In any case, the concept became mainstream around 2010, appearing in mass media and in several MOOCs. \nDeterding, Sicart, Nacke, O’Hara and Dixon (2011) define gamification as the use of game elements in non-game contexts. Metodología:El análisis realizado es tanto de índole cuantitativa —a través de la herramienta Xtools— como cualitativa —para lo que se ha aplicado el análisis del discurso sobre los comentarios de los editores—. Como objeto de estudio se han analizado todas las entradas sobre negacionismo en Wikipedia en castellano y de las entradas sin el aditamento negacionista —en total, catorce—. Resultados:Se han extraído datos y aportado tablas sobre los resultados de la investigación, focalizándose en la autoría de las entradas, comportamento de las ediciones, páginas de discursión e hitos relevantes. Discusión: Se observa queexiste parcialidad en la construcción de algunas entradas, así como falta de neutralidad derivada de la generación de conocimiento, especialmente en los casos en los que un autor acapara la construcción de contenido. Es necesario ser consciente de sus limitaciones para confiar en su neutralidad, como se ha observado con el caso analizado.\n , \n Introduction: In this work we analyze the generation of knowledge through collaborative writing in the pages on denialism in Wikipedia. Methodology:The study carried out both quantitative (through the Xtools tool) and qualitative (through discourse analysis applied to the editors' comments) analysis. All the pages on denialism in Wikipedia in Spanish and without the denialist addition were analyzed (fourteen). Results:Data have been extracted and tables have been provided on the results of the research, focusing on the authorship of the entries, behavior of the editions, discussion pages and relevant milestones. Discussion:It is observed that there is partiality in the construction of some pages, as well as a lack of neutrality derived from the generation of knowledge, especially in cases in which an author monopolizes the construction of content. Conclusions:Collaborative writing allows different points of view to be integrated, but it presupposes high collaboration, which does not always occur.
