At the end, they keep relying on on-site assessment systems, mainly because fully virtual alternatives do not have the deserved social recognition or credibility. Thus, the design of virtual assessment systems that are able to provide effective proof of student authenticity and authorship and the integrity of the activities in a scalable and cost efficient manner would be very helpful. This paper presents ValID, a virtual assessment approach based on a continuous trust level evaluation between students and the institution. The current trust level serves as the main mechanism to dynamically decide which kind of controls a given student should be subjected to, across different courses in a degree. Many of these myths are biased distortions of scientific fact. Cultural conditions, such as differences in terminology and language, have contributed to a 'gap' between neuroscience and education that has shielded these distortions from scrutiny. In recent years, scientific communications across this gap have increased, although the messages are often distorted by the same conditions and biases as those responsible for neuromyths. In Australia and elsewhere, there has been a history of discrimination against left-handedness, expressed in a variety of ways. Although negative attitudes to left-handedness have become less common in recent times, researchers have not investigated the extent to which left-handedness is now acknowledged or encouraged in Australian schools, or whether left-handed students have to overcome difficulties due to their handedness. This study investigated the handwriting experiences of 10 primary school students and the opinions of 11 primary school teachers on handwriting and on left-handed writers. The left-handed students identified a range of issues including the need for specialized writing equipment, writing speed and neatness. The teachers also mentioned these issues along with legibility and writing instruction. psychology. Online assessment provides considerable opportunities particularly in teaching and education to monitor students’ academic achievements when combined with well designed learning goals. The purpose of the study is to develop “Attitudes toward Online Assessment Scale”. As a result of the literature review, an initial form that included testing items was obtained and those items were submitted to expert view. In the light of expert views, scale items were rearranged and the initial form was given to a total of 231 pre-service teachers included in online assessment applications (113 from Department of Science and Technology; 118 from Computer Education and Educational Technology). Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed to determine constructional validity of the scale. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, it was seen that it was a 3-factor-scale consisting of “contribution of online assessment applications to teaching and education”, “liking online assessment applications” and “use of online assessment applications” and a total of 26 items. Factor loadings of the scale items ranged from 0.45 to 0.78; item total correlations from 0.20 to 0.76; reliability coefficients from 0.62 to 0.91. What's more, the 3-factor construction obtained from the exploratory factor analyses was tested by confirmatory factor analyses and it was seen that the tested model was confirmed with high fit indices. The comparison was made using the answers to an Information Technology examination taken by first year computing undergraduate students. Each student completed the Information Technology exam using a PC and basic text editor to type their answers. Original typed scripts were then transcribed into a handwritten version and a grammatically-correct and spell-checked version. All three versions were marked by independent assessors. In an adaptation of the methodology adopted by Russell and Tao (2004b), each assessor was assigned one presentation format only. Analysis of the marks awarded indicated that the original typed answers we re rated significantly more highly than handwritten versions of the same answers. This may be because the assessors were more comfortable marking an answer produced in a word processed format, since they were specialists in the computing field. However, the set of “perfected” typed answers (spelling and grammatical mistakes had been removed) surprisingly were awarded lower grades than the original typed answers that did contain spelling and grammatical mistakes. Possible explanations for this are considered, for example, grammatically-correct scripts may have indicated a high level of professionalism to the assessors and hence raised their expectations of indepth answers. Relying on data from multiple sections of the course over various semesters, we compare student performance in those classes utilizing the software against those in which it was not used.
