        "abstractNote": "This review article is essentially a summary of Shehadeh's unpublished doctoral thesis {https://www.zotero.org/groups/538215/biblia_arabica/items/itemKey/QEBUX9IC} with occasional comments interspersed in the text or given in the footnotes. As to the possibility of Abū l-Ḥasan being the translator of the old Samaritan version and the interpetation of Abū Saʿīd's introduction, Macuch expresses some disagreement with Shehadeh's conclusions. Shehadeh's presentation of the linguistic and translational features of the old and the revised translation (chapter 4) are followed rather closely, up to the point of being at times a mere translation into English. The reviewer concludes with mainly positive remarks, praising the usefulness and broad scope of the work.",
