Feststellung, die 'Politics of Public' space sich dramatisch geändert haben, und es sich um einen 'pivotal' moment handelt, um sich diese anzusehen.
Hintegrund: Verfall des amerikanischen Liberalismus des 20. Jhdt., der sich durch einige soziale veränderungen und transformationen auszeichnet ( 60er: reaktionen gegen die Sogwirkungen der liberalen Politiken, das ende der kommunistischen Staaten ende der 90er, und der neoliberale Angriff seit den 80er Jahren, und nicht zuletzt seit 9/11 und die Anti-Terror Politiken im Nachgang)

die vielen Nutzungen im öffentlichen Raum, die 'Out.-lawed' wurden, sind nicht erst nach 9/11, sondern schon vorher unter dem Wachstum des neoliberalen Projektes unter Kontrolle gebracht worden, der Markt und die Eigentümer sind diejenigen, deren Stimmen zählen.

Looking at the United States and Brazil, she argues that modern subjects are formed in philosophical accounts that presume two ontological moments—historicity and globality—which are refigured in the concepts of the nation and the racial, respectively.
