We analyse the sources of growth of agricultural production and productivity in ten Latin American countries. Our results show that the differences between these countries are too large to establish a single pattern for this region. However, certain common trends may be observed, such as the growing importance of labour productivity as a component of agricultural production growth and the increasing relevance of total factor productivity as a component of agricultural labour productivity growth.}, language = {en}, number = {1}, urldate = {2022-04-04}, journal = {Revista de Historia Economica - Journal of Iberian and Latin American Economic History}, author = {Martín-Retortillo, Miguel and Pinilla, Vicente and Velazco, Jackeline and Willebald, Henry}, month = mar, year = {2022}, note = {Number: 1 Publisher: Cambridge University Press}, keywords = {Historia económica de América Latina, Latin American agriculture, Latin American economic history, N56, Q10, Q11, agricultura de América Latina, agricultural growth, agricultural productivity, crecimiento agrícola, productividad agrícola, productividad total de los factores, total factor productivity}, pages = {99--134}, }
