Whenever people seem skeptical about genetic enhancement I always wonder if they mean Natural or Technological. Sexual selection, choosing a partner based on specific traits, is a form of genetic enhancement we are employing for our offspring.

By choosing a partner who has traits we desire we are hoping these traits transfer to our children, making them more desirable and successful.

\n

This could be construed as a form of cross-generational enhancement that organisms have been engaging in since the time of sexual reproduction.

\n

Genetic enhancement doesn't seem so scary now does it?
