In 1998 the Housing Strategy Task Force, organized by Tennessee Network for Community Economic Development planned a Housing Awareness Day at the Legislative Plaza on March 4. The intention was to show the impact of nonprofit developers in Tennessee.
\nThe point was for local non-profits to bring people (a min. of 5) to the legislature. Then they will personally visit the legislators in their offices. Then they will build a small house that is \"playhouse size.\" Materials were donated (organized by Habitat for Humanity).
\nFinished playhouse was supposed to be donated to the Martha O'Bryan Center for Cayce Homes.
