            "abstractNote": "Die Profitabilität eines Unternehmens hängt stark von der Wertschöpfung in den Unternehmensabläufen ab. Wenn es gelingt, die Wertschöpfung in den Unternehmensabläufen zu steigern, kann folglich auch der Profit des Unternehmens gesteigert werden. In den meisten Unternehmen werden die Produktivitätssteigerungen nach wie vor in der Produktion gesucht. Infolgedessen ist die Suche nach möglichen Produktivitätssteigerungen in den administrativen Unternehmensbereichen noch in der Entwicklungsphase. Ein möglicher Grund für diese Situation ist, dass es heute noch keine realisierbare, gänzliche Methode gibt, mit der die Wertschöpfung in den administrativen Bereichen analysiert werden kann.\nIn dieser Arbeit ist die Entwicklung einer neuen Methode zur Prozessleistungsmessung speziell für die administrativen Unternehmensabläufe dargestellt. Dabei wird gezeigt, welche Vorteile diese neue Methode gegenüber den bekannten und bewährten Methoden aus der Prozessleistungsmessung bietet und wie sie praxisnah und veritabel in Unternehmen eingesetzt werden kann. Neben einer Anwendungsbeschreibung ist auch dargestellt, welche Erfolge mit dieser neuen Methode zur Prozessleistungsmessung bereits erreicht werden konnten.",

            "abstractNote": "The purpose of this paper is to discuss business processes as building blocks of organizational capabilities and outsourcing of business processes as a viable management approach in building winning relationships. The paper develops a conceptual model to successfully implement \"global sourcing\" of organizational capabilities for the service provider and validates this framework using questionnaire survey methodology. The paper identifies business process management and relationship management value propositions as the key dimensions for business process outsourcing (BPO) success. However, these value propositions fall short of building winning relationships. The research is based on questionnaire survey of Indian BPO service providers. A survey of BPO clients may further strengthen the proposed framework and make the findings more conclusive. The paper establishes the importance of capability service provision by the service provider as value proposition.",

            "abstractNote": "In the past decade, business process outsourcing (BPO) has emerged as an important economic and business issue. Successful offshoring and outsourcing of business processes to low-cost destinations has made BPO a strategic decision. Inconsistencies at the client and service provider levels globally are requiring clients to build competencies in outsourcing management. Clients are further pushing service providers to build capabilities such as business process management and information technology management competencies. A research survey is carried out with European clients to identify the critical competencies of the service provider and clients for building a successful relationship. The survey indicates that the clients' focus is on BPO outcome delivery for building successful relationship and not so much on the service provider's competencies. PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]",

            "abstractNote": "Purpose - Although process performance management (PPM), doubtlessly contributes to the increase of business performance, it has been given only little attention to date. The purpose of this paper is to provide a better understanding of what constitutes successful PPM and to identify critical success factors in PPM. Design/methodology/approach - The authors conducted two complementary literature reviews - a representative literature review to get an overview of possible success factors, and an extended literature review to identify detailed success factor items. To increase the reliability of the success factors, a multiple case-study was additionally conducted. Findings - In the first literature review - the representative one - 11 success factors of PPM were identified, to which several detailed PPM success factor items could be identified in the extended literature review. Obviously, the success factor \"information quality\" is much more mentioned in literature than factors regarding \"process quality\" or \"system quality\". Research limitations/implications - Since there are no standardized terms regarding PPM, it is challenging to include all important papers into the literature review. The next steps to develop a PPM success model are to conceptualize a structural equation model and to conduct a worldwide online-survey. Practical implications - The findings of this research serve as a basis for a PPM success model, which enables practitioners to focus on what is really important for successful PPM. Originality/value - The application of a multi-methodological research approach resulted in success factors whose importance was evaluated by their frequency of occurrence in literature, as well as by experts in real-life enterprises.",

            "abstractNote": "The concept of performance management is used by most of the organizations to ensure that either they are going on the right path or not. For managing the performance the organizations are required to know about the performance indicators. This paper explores the key performance indicators (KPIs) and impact of these KPIs on the overall organizational performance in manufacturing sector in Pakistan. The data for present study collected from the top level management of the 84 best manufacturing organizations in Pakistan by using a structured questionnaire and the impact of KPIs on the overall performance of the manufacturing organizations were evaluated. The results show that the manufacturing organizations put more focus on the customer satisfaction and Delivery reliability in terms of performance measurement. And measuring the performance in terms of cost, financial, quality, time, flexibility, delivery reliability, safety, customer satisfaction, employees' satisfaction and social performance indicators have positive significant impact on the overall organization's performance. This paper puts together all important performance indicators used by organizations in a single list and check their impact on the overall performance indicator index of the Organizations. These issues relate to objectives, strategies and plans for their attainment, target-setting, incentive and reward structures and information feedback loops. Their central focus is on the management of organizational performance. Because the framework has been inductively developed, its application is `tested' against three major systems of organizational control, namely budgeting, economic value added and the balanced scorecard. In each case, neglected areas of development are exposed and fruitful topics for research identified.
