Aucun débat public ne permet de savoir si ce virage vers la nouvelle science correspond aux valeurs et positions de la société québécoise, ni de s’interroger sur les risques de nuisance au bien commun et de violation de l’intégrité scientifique que pourrait entraîner cette proximité entre science et commerce. Ce texte propose de créer une commission citoyenne nationale de la recherche scientifique qui aurait pour mandat de soumettre la recherche scientifique à l’examen démocratique de ses ressources, de ses actions et de ses retombées.
