In questions, Pamela Woof (the more recent editor, and DW expert par excellence) commented that the editor of the edition she was using had completely fuddled that line and asked why student hadn't used her edition...cue apology, embarrassment, etc.\n\n2. V distinguished scholar went to Lancaster to give a talk and made a big argument based on one page of a Wordsworth manuscript printed in one of the Cornells. It was about how Wordsworth hated Coleridge, evidenced by the fact that he wrote poetry over a printed copy of Coleridge's poems. But presenter had never looked at the whole ms and it destroyed his argument (which had already gone to print)\n</pre>",

At the time he was convinced that it was brilliant, but he went away and never quite found the time to engage with it. In crisis mode when faced with the need to submit work with bibliogaphies/footnotes he reverted to his usual 'crisis' modus operandi using Word and copying and pasting references in to the document. </p>\n<p>6 months later slightly guiltily he confessed as part of a conversation we had that he had never got around to using it. Pin-pointed by Ned as the most important training that the Library could offer. He had come out of a bad experience in a Masters where he was asked, with two weeks notice, to completely change the style of referencing he was using. Several sleepless nights later he vowed to start using referencing software if for NO OTHER reason it would prevent this disaster again.</p>",

"abstractNote": "Much like how tectonic plates interact, this volume explores the convergent, divergent, and transforming interaction of multiple forces pressing against adult contemporary education. Presenting multiple perspectives and environments, topics covered include: possibilities and requirements for change that will be needed in curriculum, philosophy, programs and practice, strategies for negotiating the interactive boundaries of a dynamic, complex, fluid global environment, and case studies and examples from theory, pedagogy, technology, healthcare, workplace, society, and policies. This is the 149th volume of the Jossey Bass series New Directions for Adult and Continuing Education. Noted for its depth of coverage, it explores issues of common interest to instructors, administrators, counselors, and policymakers in a broad range of education settings, such as colleges and universities, extension programs, businesses, libraries, and museums.",
