Sitzung am 16. März 2011 in Stuttgart ein Positionspapier zur Überlieferungsbildung im Verbund verabschiedet. Das Positionspapier knüpft an das erste Grundsatzpapier des Arbeitskreises zur archivischen Überlieferungsbildung von 2004 an, das bereits die Forderung enthielt: „Archive unterschiedlicher Träger sollten sich bei Überschneidungen bzw. Berührungen so weit wie möglich abstimmen, um die Überlieferungsbildung zu optimieren und bei Anerkenntnis unterschiedlicher Perspektiven die jeweils wechselseitigen Interessen zu berücksichtigen.“ Mit der Überlieferungsbildung im Verbund hat sich der Arbeitskreis einer Thematik angenommen, die ihm als archivspartenübergreifendem Gremium besonders naheliegt. Zurzeit gehören dem Arbeitskreis achtzehn Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus fünf Sparten an.2 Einige Kolleginnen und Kollegen sind zwischenzeitlich aus dem Arbeitskreis ausgeschieden; sie haben trotzdem das Positionspapier entscheidend mit geprägt.3 Der Arbeitskreis hofft, mit seinem Papier der Diskussion um die Überlieferungsbildung im Verbund neue Impulse zu geben. Vor allem hofft er, die Umsetzung der Überlieferungsbildung im Verbund in der archivischen Praxis weiter zu fördern. Der Ausbau der Überlieferungsbildung im Verbund setzt voraus, dass Erfahrungen im Umgang mit dem Ansatz rasch und breit in die Fachöffentlichkeit hineingetragen werden. Der Arbeitskreis „Archivische Bewertung“ nimmt insofern Anregungen, auch kritische zu den Thesen des Positionspapiers gerne entgegen, um sie in seine weiteren Diskussionen zur archivischen Bewertung mit einfließen zu lassen. In seinen nächsten Sitzungen wird sich der Arbeitskreis schwerpunktmäßig mit der Bewertung digitaler Unterlagen befassen. Ob es auch zu diesem Thema ein Positionspapier geben wird, ist momentan noch offen. Freuen würde sich der Arbeitskreis jedoch, wenn er auch bei seinen Beratungen zu diesem Thema möglichst viele Hinweise aus dem Kreis der Kolleginnen und Kollegen aufnehmen könnte.
