\nThis article talks about to e-mail borne viruses with subject lines of “Here You Have” or (“Just for You”) and “David Leadbetter’s One Point Lesson”. These viruses were like most e-mail viruses trying to get people to click the attachments in order to launch the e-mail attack. It seems like this e-mail virus has a target as only high value companies like Comcast, Google, and Coca-Cola were getting this e-mail in the mailbox. However, the person sending out his e-mail virus may be trying to get attention or from the news media as well as having other targets that they prefer. The viruses are different in the fact that one (“Just For You” virus) will attack through a .scr pseudo- PDF or video file to create a file on the computer. The “David Leadbetter” Virus is a real PDF – based attack. E-mail viruses have not been seen for a while, and e-mail users need to be more careful about clicking applications until more is known about the two viruses. Researchers such as Joe Stewart who works for SecureWorks tries to see if there is a target for the viruses and figure out the code attached to the virus that will help discover the true identity of who started the original virus. Stewart is doing more work with the “Here You Have” virus and has found a link back to 2008. Overall, the article introduces these two viruses and forewarns e-mail users about them as analysts try to discover the harmful effects and true identity of the virus.

If they give their opinion, they phrase the sentence in a way that allows the reader to know it is an opinion. But the opinions are always backed up conducted research or retrieved facts. The goal of the source was to introduce these two viruses and explain what their purpose is and how they can possibly attack a computer (or target certain computers). The source goes on to forewarn e-mail users about the dangers of the virus and gives more information about the origin of the viruses.
