This violence is caused by criminal groups that are both outside and within the State or in coexistence with it. In the light of the deterioration of citizen rights, citizen dissent and popular mobilization have grown; but at the same time, the authoritarian government responds by criminalizing social protest and human rights defenders. In connection with Mérida Initiative, the Mexican State has militarized the country and uses repression, fear and terror as means for systemic control. Like many authors, Noam Chomsky (2010) has pointed out the correlation that exists between U.S. government assistance and human rights violations; Mexico is no exception. The central argument raised in this manuscript is that the violence experienced in that country is not accidental, but rather systemic and favors a political and economic order that goes beyond Mexican borders. Violence is an expression of the social fabric tearing apart, a result, in many ways, of economic policies that keep millions of people living in segregation; this is encouraged by the Mexican State itself, whether by action or omission. Corruption and impunity are the links that bind state violence and criminal violence together. In Mexico there are few approaches on the issue despite its current relevance. This paper presents a qualitative approach using focus groups which allowed to know the characteristics of violence in the community to which students are exposed, as in the world literature found that older adolescents are more exposed. Although both men and women are considered equally exposed, men who reported more events and greater violence. Finally the analysis with Atlas.ti release is achieved conceptual organization allowing his later work. The study is based on ethnographic fieldwork completed in four public schools in southern Mexico City, throughout one school year. The girls' most important relational practices are friendship and companionship, yet they also fight as friends and classmates, sometimes about boys. Violence is observed in symbolic forms as insults, contemptuous attitudes, and gossip, and in physical forms as well, usually considered masculine, such as fist-fighting and previously arranged fights. Based on the observations, containing and regulating violence are discussed, in addition to the topic of construction of the female adolescent identity. Vivimos, al igual que muchos países del mundo, una violencia de carácter individual y colectivo. A esta primera tipología podríamos agregar otras cuatro más: la violencia estructural, la violencia institutional, la violencia delictiva y la violencia simbólica. No obstante, todas estas expresiones, no importa cuál sea, tratan de una violencia que trasciende el tiempo y el espacio para instaurarse en lo más profundo de la cultura de un pueblo, y convertirse en una amenaza no sólo para el individuo, sino para la colectividad, simplemente porque la violencia a la que nos referimos es una violencia construida socialmente que rompió sus diques de institucionalidad.
