Our aim is to challenge the idea that modern geography is not present in many texts of the period, especially if they are mythological, because it presupposes a fictional representation of space and a predominance of the expressive function of language. For this purpose, we have used a corpus of 25 mythological poems (150,746 words) and a web application called Recogito to annotate places and visualise them on an interactive map. This chapter reflects on the encountered challenges, including lower than desired accuracy in named entity recognition (NER), difficulties selecting appropriate gazetteers, manual georesolution, and limited data visualization. Despite these issues, the project successfully annotated 741 place mentions, predominantly in southern Europe. The study concludes that the world represented in these poems is mostly classical, with a mix of modern places, and suggests future comparisons with classical poets like Ovid or epic poems to gain "abstractNote": "In theatre, playwrights use the portrayal of characters to explore culturally based gender norms. In this paper, we develop quantitative methods to study gender depiction in the non-religious works (comedias) of Pedro Calderón de la Barca, a prolific Spanish 17th century author. We gather insights from a corpus of more than 100 plays by using a gender classifier and applying model explainability (attribution) methods to determine which text features are most influential in the model’s decision to classify speech as ‘male’ or ‘female’, indicating the most gendered elements of dialogue in Calderón's comedias in a manner accessible to humans. Consequently, in this work, we propose a custom-developed digital repository that functions as software-as-a-service (SaaS), primarily promoting the safe storage, display, and sharing of cultural materials; enhancing accessibility; and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural heritage. The proposed digital repository service is designed as a multitenant architecture, which enables organizations to expand their reach, enhance accessibility, foster collaboration, and ensure the preservation of their content. Moreover, our technology stack incorporates robust and reliable backend technologies, such as Django, to ensure data security and efficient management. Meanwhile, the frontend is powered by Angular, which guarantees a user-friendly and engaging interface for exploring and interacting with cultural materials. Specifically, this project aims to assist each cultural institution in organizing its digital cultural assets into collections and feeding other digital platforms, including educational, museum, pedagogical, and games, through appropriate interfaces. The creation of this digital repository offers a cutting-edge and effective open-access laboratory solution. It allows organizations to have a significant influence on their audiences by fostering cultural understanding and appreciation. Additionally, it facilitates the connection between different digital repositories and national/European aggregators, promoting collaboration and information sharing. There is controversy on whether the ischemia applied during surgery may affect the minimum inhibitory concentration of the antibiotic in the peri-prosthetic tissues. The aim of this study is to review this phenomenon through the determination of antibiotic concentration in the synovial tissue. MATERIAL AND METHOD: A prospective observational clinical study was conducted on 32 patients undergoing total knee replacement. Cefonicid 2g was administered as prophylaxis, with a tourniquet used for all patients. The antibiotic concentration was quantified by high performance liquid chromatography in samples of synovial tissue collected at the beginning and at the end of the intervention. RESULTS: The mean concentration of antibiotic was 23.16 μg/g (95% CI 19.19 to 27.13) in the samples at the beginning of the intervention and 15.45 μg/g (95% CI 13.20 to 17.69) in the final samples, being higher than the minimum inhibitory concentration of cefonicid, set at 8 μg/g. These results were statistically significant for both concentrations (P\\textbackslashtextless.00001). DISCUSSION: The antibiotic concentration throughout the standard total knee prosthesis surgery performed with tourniquet gradually decreases throughout the intervention. The concentration determined at the end of the intervention was higher than the minimum inhibitory concentration required for the antibiotic studied. Now, in the 21st century, we can finally analyze the utopias of technological art in historiographical terms. The article’s authors provide their experience in the theory and practice, and as curators, managers and professors of new media and art in order to produce this highly needed, though to date non-existent, critical and self-critical analysis. This article proposes a hybrid perspective, along the lines of the discourse of Edward Shanken, with new media art and contemporary art – especially as related to vanguard movements such as kinetic art, conceptual art, performance, the Fluxus movement, Dadaism, Situationism and experimental film – being more simultaneous than continuous. Media art and contemporary art both develop from a topological thought – as expressed by authors like Bergson, Deleuze, Serres, Agamben and Latour – that is pushed into movement. Objects and stable boundaries disappear and we have, rather, a complex world, with relationships, intensities and connections as defining elements and with an ability to simultaneously generate new, mutable territories. Without generalizing, we underline their shared perspectives on the construction and intersection of memory, politics and participation. We also analyse an aspect which is not an exclusive or intrinsic property of media art, namely, the growing tendency to go beyond symbolic representation to represent social problems in their own materiality. Three fundamental aspects of Search in Progress are thus examined. First, we analyse the active and facilitating role of this work in (re)constructing and transmitting collective memory, emphasizing, in particular, how notions of presence and absence are expressed at different diegetic levels. Next, we look at a very particular use of databases and data visualization, understood as the “frustration design” approach.
