<em>Monstro do Pântano</em>, escrita por Alan Moore. Para isso, realizamos uma leitura crítica das cinco primeiras edições escritas por Alan Moore, analisando como ocorre a figuração da morte, tendo como base os conceitos de morte-renascimento e duplo e, levando tais conceitos em consideração, buscamos demonstrar como essa figuração é ultrapassada pela noção de rizoma que parece impregnar toda a existência do Monstro do Pântano, assim como sua conexão com o verde, em que a memória transmitida e a consciência absolvida tem papel importante nessa narrativa, chegando ao ponto em que se pode afirmar que o Monstro do Pântano, ao (re)nascer, tonou-se rizoma.
