automated and noninvasive monitoring techniques that can gather large amounts of data cost‐effectively at various ecological scales, from local to large spatial scales. These data can then be analyzed to inform stakeholders and decision‐makers. One such technique is passive acoustic monitoring, which is commonly coupled with automatic identification of animal species based on their sound. Automated sound analyses usually require the training of sound detection and identification algorithms. These algorithms are based on annotated acoustic datasets which mark the occurrence of sounds of species inside sound recordings. However, compiling large annotated acoustic datasets is time‐consuming and requires experts, and therefore, they normally cover reduced spatial, temporal, and taxonomic scales. This data paper presents WABAD, the World Annotated Bird Acoustic Dataset for passive acoustic monitoring. WABAD is designed to provide the public, the research community, and conservation managers with a novel and globally representative annotated acoustic dataset. This database includes 5047 min of audio files annotated to species‐level by local experts with the start and end time and the upper and lower frequencies of each identified bird vocalization in the recordings. The database has a wide taxonomic and spatial coverage, including information on 91,931 vocalizations from 1192 bird species recorded at 72 recording sites in 29 recording locations (mainly countries) and distributed across 13 biomes. WABAD can be used, for example, for developing and/or validating automatic species detection algorithms, answering ecological questions, such as assessing geographical variations on bird vocalizations, or comparing acoustic diversity indices with species‐based diversity indices. However, rapid human-induced environmental changes are compromising the long-term persistence of plant-pollinator interactions. Unfortunately, we lack robust, generalisable data capturing how plant-pollinator communities are structured across space and time. Here, we present the EuPPollNet (European Plant-Pollinator Networks) database, a fully open European-level database containing harmonised taxonomic data on plant-pollinator interactions referenced in both space and time, along with other ecological variables of interest. In addition, we evaluate the taxonomic and sampling coverage of EuPPollNet, and summarise key structural properties in plant-pollinator networks. We believe EuPPollNet will stimulate research to address data gaps in plant-pollinator interactions and guide future efforts in conservation planning.\n\nMain Types of Variables Included: EuPPollNet contains 1,162,109 interactions between plants and pollinators from 1864 distinct networks, which belong to 52 different studies distributed across 23 European countries. Information about sampling methodology, habitat type, biogeographic region and additional taxonomic rank information (i.e. order, family, genus and species) is also provided.\n\nSpatial Location and Grain: The database contains 1214 different sampling locations from 13 different natural and anthropogenic habitats that fall in 7 different biogeographic regions. All records are geo-referenced and presented in the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84).\n\nTime Period and Grain: Species interaction data was collected between 2004 and 2021.\n\nMajor Taxa and Level of Measurement: The database contains interaction data at the species level for 94% of the records, including a total of 1411 plant and 2223 pollinator species. These included 10 high-quality MAGs ( > 90 % completeness, < 5 % contamination, rRNA genes and tRNA for at least 18 amino acids), 47 putative high-quality MAGs ( > 90 % completeness, < 5 % contamina tion) and 54 medium-quality MAGs ( > 50 % completeness, < 10 % contamination). The FASTA files of the MAGs as well as their taxonomic identifications, completeness and contamination, origin, genomic statistics and rRNA sequences are publicly available in a Zenodo dataset and the genomes in the NCBI database. The majority of MAGs (99) were assigned to Pseudomonadota, mainly Pseudomonas (28 MAGs), Stenotrophomonas (20 MAGs) and Acinetobacter (18 MAGs), while the remaining 12 MAGs belonged to Bacteroidota. Most MAGs (44) were of manure origin, followed by manured soil (38 MAGs) and soil (29 MAGs). High-quality MAGs were predominantly obtained from manure (6 high-quality, 21 putative high-quality), compared to manured soil (3 high-quality, 12 putative high-quality) and soil (1 high-quality, 14 putative high-quality). forest history in the mountain belt of the central French Pyrenees, we cored 360 living trees at breast height, including 309 silver fir (Abies alba Mill. 1768) and 51 European beech (Fagus sylvatica L. 1753), using an increment drill. In addition, 64 cross-sections of beech stems were harvested with a chainsaw during a forest cut by the forest manager. The trees are located in 14 stands (13 fir-dominated forests with some beech, 1 beech-dominated forest, in 3 stands we sampled both species) spread over the French Central Pyrenees and subject to different levels of harvesting pressure: regularly harvested, harvested 30-40 years ago, not harvested for a long time (>100 years). In each stand, we established three to five circular plots of 1 ha each. Depending on the main objective of the research projects, trees were selected from the largest, dominant or co-dominant individuals according to a pre-established protocol, as for the BENDYS project [1] (full description in Py-Saragaglia et al., 2020), or to represent the full range of diameter at breast height (DBH) available in the 1 ha circular plots. All samples were processed using standard dendrochronological techniques at the GEODE laboratory in Toulouse (PANGEME analysis platform). Tree-ring measurements were made with a resolution of 0.001 mm using either a LINTAB sliding table connected to TsapWin software (RINNTECH, Heidelberg, Germany) or CooRecorder [2] software applied to a high-resolution scan of the samples. All samples were cross-dated using CDendro [2] software. The robustness of the chronologies was assessed using reference curves available for both species in the Pyrenees for beech and in southern France for fir. The present dataset provides two reference chronologies for fir and beech in this part of the Pyrenees and 17 master stand chronologies, 13 from fir and 4 from beech. The reference chronologies were constructed from 324 of the 424 individual ring series sampled, 253 from fir (309 sampled) and 71 from beech (115 sampled). While identification of nanoscale markers of recalcitrance has been the focus of the majority of studies, quantitative investigation of cell wall hydrolysis at microscale, particularly the cell wall morphological parameters, remains relatively insufficiently addressed. This is mainly due to the lack of quantitative data on cell wall enzymatic deconstruction at microscale. Acquisition and processing of reliable microscale datasets are notoriously challenging; the sample needs to be kept at a constant temperature for efficient enzymatic hydrolysis and imaged over a considerable number of hours. Processing the acquired datasets to extract cell wall morphological parameters is also challenging due to cell wall deconstruction and deformations occurring during enzymatic hydrolysis. This becomes particularly challenging under high deconstruction conditions. The datasets presented here include timelapse 3D images of highly deconstructed pretreated spruce wood acquired using fluorescence confocal microscopy, together with cell resolution segmentations of the acquired time-lapses. Along with this hydrolysis dataset, control timelapse images of pretreated spruce wood samples acquired without adding enzymatic cocktail are also presented. The control dataset includes 6505 segmented and tracked cells. The hydrolysis dataset includes 6699 tracked cells at various stages of extensive deconstruction. Overall, these datasets provide a reliable and comprehensive set of time-lapse 3D images to study cell wall enzymatic deconstruction at cell and tissue scales, which can be used to better understand
