En 2004 elle suit la formation spécialisée mise en place sur le territoire de Mayotte par le vice-rectorat et le Cnefei (devenu maintenant l’INS HEA). C’est dans ce cadre qu’elle a préparé un mémoire où elle se proposait de rechercher dans quelle mesure l’utilisation de contes traditionnels, articulant apprentissage du français et utilisation des langues familiales, peut aider des élèves de CP en grande difficulté à surmonter leur difficulté à apprendre, et les conduire à une meilleure compréhension de la situation d’apprentissage.\nComme nous le verrons cela a permis aux élèves les plus en difficulté de s’approprier la langue française à travers des projets d’expression, mais aussi à tous les élèves de la classe de donner du sens à la pratique de la langue orale et écrite. La dimension préventive de cette démarche, construite avec le maître de la classe, fait partie de son intérêt. Une première partie de cet article montre donc comment un enseignant spécialisé peut conduire comme action dans un contexte particulier où langue familiale et langue de scolarisation entretiennent une relation difficile.\nJean-Luc Guyot intervient lui depuis quatre ans dans la formation d’enseignants mahorais prenant en charge les élèves en difficulté à l’école primaire. À l’occasion de ses interventions sur l’île il a pu se rendre compte de l’importance la problématique de l’apprentissage de la langue dans un contexte singulier. Depuis la rentrée scolaire 2006, une recherche-action est engagée sur le thème du plurilinguisme et de l’interculturalité sur les écoles maternelles. Ce dispositif allie, d’une part, la recherche sur l’usage de la langue première des élèves et l’articulation entre celle-ci et la langue française, langue de l’école de la république, et, d’autre part, la mise en œuvre d’une pédagogie adaptée à cette démarche orientée vers le plurilinguisme scolaire. La deuxième partie de cet article présente donc synthétiquement la réflexion sur le plurilinguisme élaborée dans le cadre scolaire mahorais, ce qui a été mis en œuvre à cette rentrée scolaire, et de
