"abstractNote": "Using our photometric observations taken between April 1996 and January 2013 and other published data, we derive properties of the binary near-Earth asteroid (175706) 1996 FG3 including new measurements constraining evolution of the mutual orbit with potential consequences for the entire binary asteroid population. We also refined previously determined values of parameters of both components, making 1996 FG3 one of the most well understood binary asteroid systems. We determined the orbital vector with a substantially greater accuracy than before and we also placed constraints on a stability of the orbit. Specifically, the ecliptic longitude and latitude of the orbital pole are 266{\\deg} and -83{\\deg}, respectively, with the mean radius of the uncertainty area of 4{\\deg}, and the orbital period is 16.1508 +\\- 0.0002 h (all uncertainties correspond to 3sigma). We looked for a quadratic drift of the mean anomaly of the satellite and obtained a value of 0.04 +\\- 0.20 deg/yr^2, i.e., consistent with zero. The drift is substantially lower than predicted by the pure binary YORP (BYORP) theory of McMahon and Scheeres (McMahon, J., Scheeres, D. [2010]. Icarus 209, 494-509) and it is consistent with the theory of an equilibrium between BYORP and tidal torques for synchronous binary asteroids as proposed by Jacobson and Scheeres (Jacobson, S.A., Scheeres, D. [2011]. ApJ Letters, 736, L19). Based on the assumption of equilibrium, we derived a ratio of the quality factor and tidal Love number of Q/k = 2.4 x 10^5 uncertain by a factor of five. We also derived a product of the rigidity and quality factor of mu Q = 1.3 x 10^7 Pa using the theory that assumes an elastic response of the asteroid material to the tidal forces. This very low value indicates that the primary of 1996 FG3 is a 'rubble pile', and it also calls for a re-thinking of the tidal energy dissipation in close asteroid binary systems.",

"abstractNote": "In 2007, the M-type binary Asteroid 22 Kalliope reached one of its annual equinoxes. As a consequence, the orbit plane of its small moon, Linus, was aligned closely to the Sun's line of sight, giving rise to a mutual eclipse season. A dedicated international campaign of photometric observations, based on amateur-professional collaboration, was organized and coordinated by the IMCCE in order to catch several of these events. The set of the compiled observations is released in this work. We developed a relevant model of these events, including a topographic shape model of Kalliope refined in the present work, the orbit solution of Linus as well as the photometric effect of the shadow of one component falling on the other. By fitting this model to the only two full recorded events, we derived a new estimation of the equivalent diameter of Kalliope of 166.2 +/- 2.8 km, 8% smaller than its IRAs diameter. As to the diameter of Linus, considered as purely spherical, it is estimated to 28 +/- 2 km. This substantial \"shortening\" of Kalliope, gives a bulk density of 3.35 +/- 0.33 g/cm(3), significantly higher than past determinations but more consistent with its taxonomic type. Some constraints can be inferred on the composition. (C) 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.",

"abstractNote": "In 2007, the asteroid Kalliope will reach one of its annual equinoxes. As a consequence, its small satellite Linus orbiting in the equatorial plane will undergo a season of mutual eclipses and occultations very similar to the one that the Galilean satellites undergo every 6 years. This paper is aimed at preparing a campaign of observations of these mutual events occurring from February to May 2007. This opportunity occurs only under favorable geometric conditions when the Sun and/or the Earth are close to the orbital plane of the system. This is the first international campaign devoted to the observation of photometric events within an asynchronous asteroidal binary system. We took advantage of a reliable orbit solution of Linus to predict a series of 24 mutual eclipses and 12 mutual occultations observable in the spring of 2007. Thanks to the brightness of Kalliope (m(v) similar or equal to 11), these observations are easy to perform even with a small telescope. Anomalous attenuation events could be observed lasting for about 1-3 h with amplitude tip to 0.09 mag. The attenuations are of two distinct types that can clearly be identified as primary and secondary eclipses similar to those that have been previously observed in other minor planet binary systems [Pravec, P., Scheirich, P., Kusnirak, P., Sarounova, L., Mottola, S., Hahn, G., Brown, P., Esquerdo, G., Kaiser, N., Krzeminski, Z., Pray, D.P., Warner, B.D., Harris, A.W., Nolan, M.C., Howell, E.S., Benner, L.A.M., Margot, J.-L., Galad, A., Holliday, W., Hicks, M.D., Krugly, Yu.N., Tholen, D., Whiteley, R., Marchis, F., Degraff, D.R., Grauer, A., Larson, S., Velichko, F.P., Cooney, W.R., Stephens, R., Zhu, J., Kirsch, K., Dyvig, R., Snyder, L., Reddy, V., Moore, S., Gajdos, S., Vilagi, J., Masi, G., Higgins, D., Funkhouser, G., Knight, B., Slivan, S., Behrend, R., Grenon, M., Burki, G., Roy, R., Demeautis, C., Matter, D., Waelchli, N., Revaz, Y., Klotz, A., Rieugne, M., Thierry, P., Cotrez, V., Brunetto, L., Kober, G., 2006. With these favorable circumstances, such photometric observations will provide us tight constraints regarding physical properties of Linus such as the size, shape and synodic spin period. "abstractNote": "Advances in electron-based instrumentation have enabled the acquisition of multidimensional data sets for exploring the unique structure-property relationship of nanomaterials. In this manuscript, we report a technique for directly probing and analyzing the three-dimensional (3D) electronic structure of a material at the nano-scale. This technique, referred to here as 4D STEM-EELS, utilizes a rotation holder and pillar-shaped samples to allow STEM mode high-angle annular dark-field (HAADF) and EELS spectrum images to be recorded over a complete 180 rotation to minimize artifacts. The end result is a four-dimensional data set, containing two spatial dimensions, rotation angle and energy-loss information I(x, y, theta, Delta E), which can then be processed to extract any EELS signal as a rotation or \"tilt-series\" map. If the extracted properties satisfy the linear projection criteria, these maps can then be used for tomographic reconstruction to yield volumetric maps of the corresponding properties. Hence by combining STEM HAADF and energy-loss information from such a series of spectrum images, it is possible to map not only the microstructure, but also the elemental, physical and chemical state information of a material in three dimensions. Two examples are reported here to demonstrate the potential of this technique. To illustrate chemical tomography, 4D STEM-EELS was used to directly probe the 3D electronic structure of a W-to-Si contact from a semiconductor device. Core-loss data were used to reconstruct and render the composition of the W-to-Si contact in three dimensions. The fine structure of the 99eV Si edge was analyzed with MLLS fitting to map the variations in Si bonding in 3D. To illustrate the direct probing of intrinsic material anisotropy, 4D STEM-EELS was used to probe a ZnO thin film. Subtle but systematic changes in low-loss structure were observed as a function of electron-beam orientation with respect to the ZnO crystallographic axes. Together these examples illustrate how the 4D STEM-EELS technique reported here can be used to probe the elemental, physical and chemical state information of a material in three dimensions and extend our knowledge of nano-scale structures. "abstractNote": "Fabrication of metallic Au nanopillars and linear arrays of Au-containing nanodots for plasmonic waveguides is reported in this article by two different processes-focused ion beam (FIB) milling of deposited thin films and electron beam-induced deposition (EBID) of metallic nanostructures from an organometallic precursor gas. Finite difference time domain (FDTD) modeling of electromagnetic fields around metallic nanostructures was used to predict the optimal size and spacing between nanostructures useful for plasmonic waveguides. Subsequently, a multi-step FIB fabrication method was developed for production of metallic nanorods and nanopillars of the size and geometry suggested by the results of the FDTD simulations. Nanostructure fabrication was carried out on planar substrates including Au-coated glass, quartz, and mica slides as well as cleaved 4-mode optical fibers. In the second fabrication process, EBID was utilized for the development of similar nanostructures on planar Indium Tin Oxide and Titanium-coated glass substrates. Each method allows formation of nanostructures such that the plasmon resonances associated with the nanostructures could be engineered and precisely controlled by controlling the nanostructure size and shape. Linear arrays of low aspect ratio nanodot structures ranging in diameter between 50-70 nm were fabricated using EBID. Preliminary dark field optical microscopy demonstrates differences in the plasmonic response of the fabricated structures. SCANNING 31: 139-146, 2009. (c) 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.",

"abstractNote": "We report on the results of a 6-month photometric study of the main-belt binary C-type Asteroid 121 Hermione, performed during its 2007 opposition. We took advantage of the rare observational opportunity afforded by one of the annual equinoxes of Hermione occurring close to its opposition in June 2007. The equinox provides an edge-on aspect for an Earth-based observer, which is well suited to a thorough study of Hermione's physical characteristics. The catalog of observations carried out with small telescopes is presented in this work, together with new adaptive optics (AO) imaging obtained between 2005 and 2008 with the Yepun 8-m VLT telescope and the 10-m Keck telescope. The most striking result is confirmation that Hermione is a bifurcated and elongated body, as suggested by Marchis, et al. [Marchis, F., Hestroffer, D., Descamps, P., Berthier, J., Laver, C., de Pater, I., 2005. Icarus 178, 450-464]. A new effective diameter of 187 +/- 6 km was calculated from the combination of AO, photometric and thermal observations. The new diameter is some 10% smaller than the hitherto accepted radiometric diameter based on ERAS data. The reason for the discrepancy is that IRAS viewed the system almost pole-on. New thermal observations with the Spitzer Space Telescope agree with the diameter derived from AO and lightcurve observations. Oil the basis of the new AO astrometric observations of the small 32-km diameter satellite we have refined the orbit solution and derived a new value of the bulk density of Hermione of 1.4 + 0.51-0.2 g cm(-3). We infer a macroscopic porosity of similar to 33 + 51-20%. (C) 2009 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.",

TBDMS is observed to readily form single crystals from physical vapor zone sublimation. A columnar packing crystal structure, with an approximate pi/4 radian rotational offset between neighboring molecules, is observed. Single crystal TBDMS transistors display a maximum observed saturation mobility mu(S) of 0.07 cm(2)/V s, current on-off ratio >10(7), and subthreshold swing S approximate to 1 dec/V. The spectral current noises of single crystal devices display a 1/f flicker noise, while the metal-semiconductor charge injection barrier is estimated by ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy. "abstractNote": "Boone Creek is a mountainous headwater stream that lies within an urbanized environment in northwestern North Carolina. The primary source of thermal pollution in Boone Creek is the urban infrastructure, which affects stream temperatures through (1) heated runoff, which creates temperature surges and (2) the elimination of groundwater-surface water interactions. In this study, we use a Monte Carlo thermal mixing model to predict the thermal impact of removing a 700-m-long culvert. Our thermal mixing model balances stream discharge and temperatures with surface-heat exchange parameters and restored baseflow. We calculate the daily-average groundwater discharge velocity at 15 locations in the stream using signal decay in streambed temperatures, and utilize a Monte Carlo implementation of the heterogeneous baseflow field in the thermal mixing model. We also calculate surface-heat exchange per unit area for conditions upstream and downstream of the existing culvert and utilize those values in the thermal mixing model. Our modeled temperatures suggest a decrease in summer stream temperatures downstream of the culvert that average 1.35 degrees C and 1.17 degrees C for upstream and downstream surface-heat exchange conditions, respectively. The results of our study have implications for the balance between baseflow and the urban infrastructure in any high-gradient urban stream that experiences similar thermal effects. Keck II telescope, combined with Spitzer/IRS spectroscopic observations and past stellar occultations, confirm the value of its IRAS radiometric radius of 67.5 km as well as its dog-bone shape suggested by earlier radar observations. Our Keck AO observations revealed the presence of two small satellites in orbit about Kleopatra (see Marchis, F. et al. [2008a]. (3749) Balam. In: Green, D.W.E. (Ed.), IAU Circ. 8928; Marchis, F., Descamps, P., Berthier, J., Emery, J.P. [2008b]. S/2008 ((216)) 1 and S/2008 ((216)) 2. In: Green, D.W.E. (Ed.), IAU Circ. 8980). Accurate measurements of the satellite orbits over a full month enabled us to determine the total mass of the system to be 4.64 +/- 0.02 x 10(18) kg. This translates into a bulk density of 3.6 +/- 0.4 g/cm(3), which implies a macroscopic porosity for Kleopatra of similar to 30-50%, typical of a rubble-pile asteroid. From these physical characteristics we measured its specific angular momentum, very close to that of a spinning equilibrium dumbbell. (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.",

"abstractNote": "We report on the first multi-wavelength coronal observations, taken simultaneously in white light, H alpha 656.3 nm, Fe IX 435.9 nm, Fe x 637.4 nm, Fe XI 789.2 nm, Fe XIII 1074.7 nm, Fe XIV 530.3 nm, and Ni XV 670.2 nm, during the total solar eclipse of 2010 July 11 from the atoll of Tatakoto in French Polynesia. The data enabled temperature differentiations as low as 0.2 x 10(6) K. The first-ever images of the corona in Fe IX and Ni XV showed that there was very little plasma below 5 x 10(5) K and above 2.5 x 10(6) K. The suite of multi-wavelength observations also showed that open field lines have an electron temperature near 1 x 10(6) K, while the hottest, 2 x 10(6) K, plasma resides in intricate loops forming the bulges of streamers, also known as cavities, as discovered in our previous eclipse observations. The eclipse images also revealed unusual coronal structures, in the form of ripples and streaks, produced by the passage of coronal mass ejections and eruptive prominences prior to totality, which could be identified with distinct temperatures for the first time. These trails were most prominent at 10(6) K. Simultaneous Fe x 17.4 nm observations from Proba2/SWAP provided the first opportunity to compare Fe x emission at 637.4 nm with its extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) counterpart. This comparison demonstrated the unique diagnostic capabilities of the coronal forbidden lines for exploring the evolution of the coronal magnetic field and the thermodynamics of the coronal plasma, in comparison with their EUV counterparts in the distance range of 1-3 R(circle dot). These diagnostics are currently missing from present space-borne and ground-based observatories.",

"abstractNote": "The proper alignment of facets on a dish engine concentrated solar power system is critical to the performance of the system. These systems are generally highly concentrating to produce high temperatures for maximum thermal efficiency so there is little tolerance for poor optical alignment. Improper alignment can lead to poor performance and shortened life through excessively high flux on the receiver surfaces, imbalanced power on multicylinder engines, and intercept losses at the aperture. Alignment approaches used in the past are time consuming field operations, typically taking 4-6 h per dish with 40-80 facets on the dish. Production systems of faceted dishes will need rapid, accurate alignment implemented in a fraction of an hour. In this paper, we present an extension to our Sandia Optical Fringe Analysis Slope Technique mirror characterization system that will automatically acquire data, implement an alignment strategy, and provide real-time mirror angle corrections to actuators or labor beneath the dish. The Alignment Implementation for Manufacturing using Fringe Analysis Slope Technique (AIMFAST) has been implemented and tested at the prototype level. In this paper we present the approach used in AIMFAST to rapidly characterize the dish system and provide near-real-time adjustment updates for each facet. The implemented approach can provide adjustment updates every 5 s, suitable for manual or automated adjustment of facets on a dish assembly line. [DOI: 10.1115/1.4004357]",

"abstractNote": "Known bright S stars, recognized as such by their enhanced s-process abundances and C/O ratio, are typically members of the asymptotic giant branch (AGB) or the red giant branch. Few modern digital spectra for these objects have been published, from which intermediate resolution spectral indices and classifications could be derived. For published S stars, we find accurate positions using the Two-Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS), and use the FAST spectrograph of the Tillinghast reflector on Mt. Hopkins to obtain the spectra of 57 objects. We make available a digital S star spectral atlas consisting of 14 spectra of S stars with diverse spectral features. We define and derive basic spectral indices that can help distinguish S stars from late-type (M) giants and carbon stars. We convolve all our spectra with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey bandpasses, and employ the resulting gri magnitudes together with 2MASS JHK(s) mags to investigate S star colors. These objects have colors similar to carbon and M stars, and are therefore difficult to distinguish by color alone. Using near-and mid-infrared colors from IRAS and Akari, we identify some of the stars as intrinsic (AGB) or extrinsic (with abundances enhanced by past mass transfer). We also use V band and 2MASS magnitudes to calculate a temperature index for stars in the sample. We analyze the proper motions and parallaxes of our sample stars to determine upper and lower limit absolute magnitudes and distances, and confirm that most are probably giants.",

"abstractNote": "We report radar, photometric, and spectroscopic observations of near-Earth Asteroid (136617) 1994 CC. The radar measurements were obtained at Goldstone (8560 MHz, 3.5 cm) and Arecibo (2380 MHz, 12.6 cm) on 9 days following the asteroid's approach within 0.0168 AU on June 10, 2009. 1994 CC was also observed with the Panchromatic Robotic Optical Monitoring and Polarimetry Telescopes (PROMPT) on May 21 and June 1-3. Visible-wavelength spectroscopy was obtained with the 5-m Hale telescope at Palomar on August 25. Delay-Doppler radar images reveal that 1994 CC is a triple system; along with (153591) 2001 SN263, this is only the second confirmed triple in the near-Earth population. Photometry obtained with PROMPT yields a rotation period for the primary P = 2.38860 +/- 0.00009 h and a lightcurve amplitude of similar to 0.1 mag suggesting a shape with low elongation. Hale telescope spectroscopy indicates that 1994 CC is an Sq-class object. Delay-Doppler radar images and shape modeling reveal that the primary has an effective diameter of 0.62 +/- 0.06 km, low pole-on elongation, few obvious surface features, and a prominent equatorial ridge and sloped hemispheres that closely resemble those seen on the primary of binary near-Earth Asteroid (66391) 1999 KW4. Detailed orbit fitting reported separately by Fang et al. (Fang, J., Margot, J.-L., Brozovic, M., Nolan, MC., Benner, LAM., Taylor, P.A. [2011]. Astron. J. 141, 154-168) gives a mass of the primary of 2.6 x 10(11) kg that, coupled with the effective diameter, yields a bulk density of 2.1 +/- 0.6 g cm(-3). The images constrain the diameters of the inner and outer satellites to be 113 +/- 30 m and 80 +/- 30 m, respectively. The inner satellite has a semimajor axis of similar to 1.7 km (similar to 5.5 primary radii), an orbital period of similar to 30 h, and its Doppler dispersion suggests relatively slow rotation, 26 +/- 12 h, consistent with spin-orbit lock. The outer satellite has an orbital period of similar to 9 days and a rotation period of 14 +/- 7 h, establishing that the rotation is not spin-orbit locked. Among all binary and triple systems observed by radar, at least 25% (7/28) have a satellite that rotates more rapidly than its orbital period. This suggests that asynchronous configurations with P(rotation) < P(orbital) are relatively common among multiple systems in the near-Earth population. 1994 CC's outer satellite has an observed maximum separation from the primary of similar to 5.7 km (similar to 18.4 primary radii) that is the largest separation relative to primary radius seen to date among all 36 known binary and triple NEA systems. 1994 CC, (153591) 2001 SN263, and 1998 ST27 are the only triple and binary systems known with satellite separations >10 primary radii, suggesting either a detection bias, or that such widely-separated satellites are relatively uncommon in NEA multiple systems. "abstractNote": "Our photometric observations of 18 main-belt binary systems in more than one apparition revealed a strikingly high number of 15 having positively re-observed mutual events in the return apparitions. Our simulations of the survey showed that it cannot be due to an observational selection effect and that the data strongly suggest that poles of mutual orbits between components of binary asteroids in the primary size range 3-8 km are not distributed randomly: The null hypothesis of an isotropic distribution of the orbit poles is rejected at a confidence level greater than 99.99%. Binary orbit poles concentrate at high ecliptic latitudes, within 300 of the poles of the ecliptic. We propose that the binary orbit poles oriented preferentially up/down-right are due to either of the two processes: (i) the YORP tilt of spin axes of their parent bodies toward the asymptotic states near obliquities 0 degrees and 180 degrees (pre-formation mechanism) or (ii) the YORP tilt of spin axes of the primary components of already formed binary systems toward the asymptotic states near obliquities 0 degrees and 180 degrees (post-formation mechanism). The alternative process of elimination of binaries with poles closer to the ecliptic by dynamical instability, such as the Kozai effect due to gravitational perturbations from the Sun, does not explain the observed orbit pole concentration. This is because for close binary asteroid systems, the gravitational effects of primary's irregular shape dominate the solar-tide effect. (C) 2011 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.",

"abstractNote": "To better understand the mechanics and seismic potential of nonplanar fault surfaces, we present results from a suite of numerical models of faults with sinusoidal corrugations in the downdip direction. Systematic variations in corrugation wavelength, amplitude, and loading angle are introduced to determine the effects on slip behavior and seismic moment release. We find that corrugated faults, in general, slip less than planar faults. Changes in slip behavior are nearly scale-independent and are dominantly controlled by the amplitude/wavelength of corrugations. Model results suggest that obliquely loaded corrugated faults accumulate less strike slip than a planar fault with the same tip line dimensions and average orientation. This result implies that slip direction is not a reliable indicator of regional stress direction and may at least partially explain repeated, nearly pure dip-slip coseismic events at oblique plate boundaries. Though the scalar seismic moment release is always less for corrugated fault surfaces due to a greater reduction in slip compared to increased surface area, for geologically reasonable corrugation geometries, changes in total scalar moment release are not significantly different than planar faults. Techniques that utilize highly simplified fault geometries may therefore accurately reproduce scalar moment release but will nonetheless incorrectly predict coseismic slip magnitudes and distributions, as well as regional stress orientations. The RXTE observations indicate that this object is a comparatively weak X-ray emitter for a Flat-Spectrum Radio Quasar. The observed broadband spectral shape indicates that X-rays were most likely produced by the Inverse Compton processes. Optical observations of this object produced unexpected results in that this object appeared redder when in a bright state and bluer when in a faint state, contrary to the observed behavior of BL Lac objects.",

The onset of incendive brush discharges in air is evaluated using standard spark probe techniques for the case Simulating approaches of all electrically grounded sphere to a charged insulator in the presence of a flammable atmosphere. However, this standard technique is unsuitable for the case of brush discharges that may occur during the charging-separation process for two insulator materials. We present experimental techniques to evaluate this hazard in the presence of a flammable atmosphere which is ideally suited to measure the incendiary nature of micro-discharges upon separation, a measurement never before performed. Other measurement techniques unique to this study include: Surface potential measurements of insulators before, during and after contact and separation, as well as methods to verify fieldmeter calibrations using a charge insulator surface opposed to standard high voltage plates. "abstractNote": "The characterization of nanomaterials with complex three-dimensional (3D) geometries is required to further research and enable the continuing development of nanotechnology. In this manuscript, we report a protocol which combines focused ion beam (FIB) milling, thin film deposition and solution chemistry to optimize a rotation holder for 3D structural and chemical analysis of nanoparticles. This protocol is used to customize the geometry, surface and chemistry of a scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) or transmission electron microscope (TEM) rotation holder for the nanoparticle system of interest. To illustrate this concept, rotation holder stubs were optimized to facilitate the 3D STEM imaging and analysis of core-shell nanoparticles used for DNA detection. Using this approach, it was possible to characterize the morphology, optoelectronic properties and chemical composition of individual core-shell nanoparticles in 3D. STEM images were captured at regular angular intervals over a complete 360 degrees rotation to eliminate missing wedge artifacts. Electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) spectrum images were acquired intermittently for comparative chemical analysis. This approach allows the 3D STEM/TEM analysis to be performed with the nanoparticle of interest cantilevered over vacuum to minimize substrate effects. Standard tomography techniques were used to reconstruct the 3D structure of the individual nanoparticles from the STEM HAADF rotation series. EELS spectrum imaging was used to determine the local material properties such as composition, band-gap and plasmon energy. The nanoparticle analysis protocol reported here can easily be adapted to facilitate 3D TEM/STEM analysis of other nanomaterial systems.",

"abstractNote": "FS CMa type stars are a group of Galactic objects with the B[e] phenomenon. They exhibit strong emission-line spectra and infrared excesses, which are most likely due to recently formed circumstellar dust. The group content and identification criteria were described in the first two papers of the series. In this paper we report our spectroscopic and photometric observations of the optical counterpart of IRAS 00470+6429 obtained in 2003-2008. The optical spectrum is dominated by emission lines, most of which have P Cyg type profiles. We detected significant brightness variations, which may include a regular component, and variable spectral line profiles in both shape and position. The presence of a weak Li I 6708 angstrom line in the spectrum suggests that the object is most likely a binary system with a B2-B3 spectral-type primary companion of a luminosity log L/L-circle dot = 3.9 +/- 0.3 and a late-type secondary companion. We estimate a distance toward the object to be 2.0 +/- 0.3 kpc from the Sun.",
