            "abstractNote": "Viewpoint modeling is an effective technique for specifying\ncomplex software systems in terms of a set of independent\nviewpoints and correspondences between them. Each\nviewpoint focuses on a particular aspect of the system, abstracting\naway from the rest of the concerns. Correspondences\nspecify the relationships between the elements in\ndifferent views, together with the constraints that guarantee\nthe consistency among these elements. However, most\nArchitectural Frameworks, which follow a multi-viewpoint\napproach, either do not consider the explicit specification of\ncorrespondences, or do it in a very simplistic way. This paper\nproposes a generic model-driven approach to the specification\nand realization of correspondences between viewpoints.\nIn particular, we show how correspondences can\nbe modeled both extensionally and intensionally, and propose\nthe use of model transformations to connect these two\napproaches. As a proof-of-concept, we show how our proposal\ncan be implemented in the context of the RM-ODP\nand UML4ODP, and present a tool to support the realization\nof correspondences between ODP views. This proposal\ncan be extended to any other Architectural Framework that\nuses models to represent their views.",

            "abstractNote": "Requirements definition is a critical activity within information systems development. It involves many stakeholder groups: managers, various end-users and different systems development professionals. Each group is likely to have its own ‘viewpoint’ representing a particular perspective or set of perceptions of the problem domain. To ensure as far as possible that the system to be implemented meets the needs and expectations of all involved stakeholders, it is necessary to understand their various viewpoints and manage any inconsistencies and conflicts. Viewpoint development during requirements definition is the process of identifying, understanding and representing different viewpoints. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for understanding and investigating viewpoint development approaches. Results of the use of the framework for a comparison of viewpoint development approaches are discussed and some important issues and directions for future research are identified.",
